My Planner and Journalling Journey

Since I've started a new hobby, journalling and doing planner stuff, i've always been intrigue on how others can really spend so much in getting planners and purchasing stuff. I admire in awe and sometimes envy other when i see their stash. But knowing the practical side of me, couldn't bring myself to spend a lot on these items until i started buying stuff online.. and mind you, it can really be addicting.

I remember the feeling of touching my first love doki A6 planner which I got for only P300. It was definitely a fab find until i fell in love with my Sunday Leather Craft field note... It was a bit pricey P1000 but it was worth it.  Now i can safely say i have found my Planner Peace.

Attending my first Planner meet up was an experience. I get to meet ladies who ate really into these stuff, taking planners and journals seriously. I really had fun using their stamps and collecting washi samples. Can't wait for  the next  meet up :)

FAB FINDS... Sweet Valley High Books

I got excited when I saw these books on sale at a local bookstore. Couldn't help myself and bought 2 since they're only P19/each. I remember during my grade school days when i started reading them. I hope someday I can share the same passion with my Princess

Sibblings

So lucky to witness these sibblings sharing a few bites of french fries at their kiosk/store at Quezon City Circle, not minding the crazy and complicated world outside. If only all sibblings could be like them, then what a wonderful world it could be :)

SULIT VACAY 2016

Every year I would save up so we can enjoy a day or two of summer vacation with the SULITS. Nothing grand, just a precious bonding time with the family.

For 2016, its the usually trek to the city of Pines to enjoy the cool weather. And although we've visited the place, it never fails to bring smiles and wonderful cuddle time with the family. As expected, Julia was excited the most, enjoying the play time with her cousins 24/7.

Although we are not complette this year (Minus Caloy and Weng family), we are looking forward to getting the most this perfect weekend :)

COFFEE FIND : Malaysian Coffee from Famous Belgian Waffle

Last Mother's Day, while queing up in a popular buffet resto i chanced upon The Famous Belgian Waffle Kiosk  at SM North Edsa and tried their Malaysian Coffee. It was indeed a wonderful coffee experience with its sweet, strong and  flavourful blend. And this cup is best paired with their yummy hot and crispy waffle. And  guess what's the best part? One gets to enjoy the coffee.and waffle all for less than a hundred bucks! Truly a superb find  if you're coffee lover :)

PHENOM OUT....

This girl never fails to  amaze me. Aside from powerful spikes and plays, Ms Alyssa Valdez is also known for her humility and generosity. She made volleyball a household name and made us fall in love with the sport all over again. But despite her popularity (endorsements left  and right to boot)  she remained humble and well grounded, always with a smile. I hope we'll have more Alyssa Valdez in our midst not only to learn a lesson or two about volleyball,  but also learn about what real champions are made of.  God Bless you, Phenom!

My Saturday Lunchdate

Our week is never complete without a meal from our nearby Chowking Resto. It's our "go-to" place whenever I am not in the mood to cook.   CK's crispy chicken never fails to bring a smile on my princess' face while their wanton noodles or yangchow with siomai ia normally my staple tummy filler, stuff that i don't cook at home. So if you happen to see us munching in the CK store, you know it me ang my priness"  bonding moment.  #chowkingcrispychicken

To Thee I Am Humbled...

Here I am Lord, feeling down and humbled right before you...  I am sorry for feeling the blues.. feeling depressed because it seems like I'm the state of nowhere...  Yes I am not down on the bottom pit but neither am I moving.. it seems like I'm not going anywhere.  That my life has become like a stagnant water, not growing, just on a standstill....until I came across one of the posts of Courageous Caitie... where strangers are fell in line just to say goodbye to our dear Caitie... And when one couple reached the front and saw Feliz, it was even her who reminded the couple that whenever we feel down just remember Jesus loves you...   Indeed when things go wrong, when one feels  a void inside, just pray... a simple prayer will do..  say what's inside your heart and he'll answer you the best possible way. It may not be grand or be a miracle, but rest assured He will answer you back. In my case, I got my answer from an FB post maybe because Kuya Jess knows I'm always online :)

Praying for Dear Courageous Caitie

When  I first saw her page on FB  thru a friend I got curious with her condition and read her page. From then on, my  day is not complete without checking for updates, hoping and praying she'll get better soon.

I know how difficult this is to Caitie's parents...  It is never easy holding a sick child in your arms. And this may sound a cliche, but Moms and Dads would often pray to spare his/her child the pain, if only we can take it away so they would feel better. Often, parents would say " si Mommy na lang ang magkasakit....  huwag na ikaw".

Caitie's condition have touched me in a different way. She may not know it but she taught me how to pray in a very simple and sincere way. And  I find myself praying for her every now and then whenever a read a post or see an update about her condition. I may not attend mass every week or read the bible but I believe the Lord can hear me pray for her.

I am also in awe on how  Caitie and her family hold on the their Faith... Despite the hardships and trials, their Faith never wavered, instead it becomes stronger each step of the way. They are probably one of the strongest family I've ever seen. And I am confident that the Lord will bless them and hear their prayers along with all of us who are cheering them on the sidelines.

It's still a rough and bumpy road ahead for the Lucas family... and to date, we are all praying because Caitie is in critical condition.  I have shed a tear or two praying for her and  hoping for a miracle soon...  but the most touching prayer I saw this morning is when the family posted "LET YOUR WILL BE DONE"....

So let me end this post with a simple prayer for Our Little Warrior...  Lord,  we come before you begging for healing for our dear Caitie. Please, touch her and heal so you can spare her young body from pain. We ask for a miracle of healing and I know with you,  this will be done.

*********

I just learned that our Dear Caitie has finally joined Our Creator 10 mins ago... It breaks my heart to see her go but I know she's in a better place now, free from pain and all the hardships.  She is now with Jesus and all the Angels welcoming her in their midst.

Thank Caitie for inspiring me ... for teaching me  and for helping me be closer to our dear Saviour. God bless your soul, our Dear Courageous Caitie!

Goodbye Nanu....

Since last Monday,  I couldn't seem to shake you off my  mind...  The moment I learned about your passing away,  memories of our younger years kept coming back... With you around, it's always non-stop chicka about life and love.  I remember the time I visited you  in the hospital during your college days ...  You told me about an unlikely incident where your ex and your current flame both in the same room with you :) . The last time I saw you,  we were by the church driveway,  you were just on your way out after hearing mass. You told me about graduating from CRC and went to  Ateneo Law School to apply but the staff  refused to give you an application form and told you to ask your mom to get a form for herself instead. It took awhile before you were able to convince that staff that you're old enough to attend Law School.  And though i haven't seen you in decades,  i know the bond of friendship we shared never changed.

When  I spoke to Phoebe and learned that you were in pain all through out your ordeal,  i couldn't help but feel sad. Just like an Ate,  I wish you were spared from the pain this highfalutin disease brings. But all these are gone now... you're in a better place, rejoicing in Heaven with the Big Boss. I bet  you're having a grand time debating with the Angels about life here on earth.

Your last night  with us brought back old friends together... Just like the good old days circa 1990's... It was nice seeing familiar faces again.. Jappy, Ems, Ned, Ryan and Ian...  People I haven't seen for more than 2 decades.  Although it wasn't a happy occasion,  at least you gave us a reason to smile as we bid you goodbye.

So this is it, Nanu...  Time to let go and say goodbye.  Thank you for the friendship and the wonderful memories...  I know someday we'll see each other again and make non-stop Chicka!

Until then My Little Nanu.....

Different Colors of QC Circle

These photos made me smile and somehow lessen the stress I was burdened due to yaya/domestic issues. A short walk, some fresh air, a sincere prayer and My Princess'  unwavering love took away the negative vibes for that night... Truly some good things in life are still for free :)

How to Write Again

This has  been my dilemma when 2016 ushered in..  I have moments that I am lost and doesn't know where or how to start...  I have cried, laughed, felt my heart  did  a couple of flips but at the end, when you're faced with a blank paper, you don't how to write again...

I need to find my jive..  and  I need to do it now!!!!

Sunday, February 07, 2016

Dear Lord,

Hear I am again, praying for guidance. I am in the middle of my script and I couldn't seem to find the right groove. Please touch my mind, my heart and my hand that I may write the right words and scenes.  Let me be your instrument in touching the lives of others. I know I have a purpose why you placed me in this kind of work. Please guide me to do my thing,

AMEN
