2010 .. The Year That Was...

Year 2010 brought a Lot of Memories and Lessons that go with it. There are a Lot of things I am thankful for (all the good and "not so good" stuff )and as I sit infront of my computer and scribble down my thoughts for the year that passed, Let me thank the Good Lord Above who never grow tired of Loving and Blessing me and my family despite my shortcomings ... Thank You as well to ALL My Friends who never left my side and who are just a txt/call away whenever I needed help (and mind you, I did call and txted them several times for help) and lastly to the SULIT brothers who were always there for their Little Sis... SALAMAT !!!

FR2 (Food Review): Kangaroo Jack

Had a chance to have dinner for the first time @ Kangaroo Jack a few nights ago after the Christmas Rush... Although the place was okay, food was a little bit bland (we had mozarella cheese sticks, cream of mushroom soup, baby back ribs & grilled chicken and pesto(no pix, sorry)) for our taste buds. Hubby and I glad we tried KJ so next time we know what resto's to visit and/or avoid...

SUPERB DINNER @ GILLIGANS !

The family had an impromptu dinner last night @ Gilligan's Trinoma after going to the doctor . As usual, we ordered our favorite sisig, chicken and sinigang na hipon for Julia ... It was truly a superb dinner for all of us !

FOOD REVIEW : Pizza Hut's Carbonara

Since I've been cooking pasta for a couple of years now, i try my best to stay away from ordering my "specialty" from different restos so i wouldnt get disappointed....... dont get me wrong, i dont mean to brag, its just that if you know how to cook and you know how much the ingredients cost, it is easier to know if you are being short changed or if you're getting your money's worth.
Take for example Pizza Hut's Combo meal w/ Carbonara as the main course... for just P99 you get a bowl of cream of mushroom soup, a plate of pasta and ice tea... the soup was okay, a perfect tummy filler for the hunger stomach, but the pasta was a disappointment because it felt like eating pasta soaked in creamy evap..... You would need a lot of parmessan cheese, salt and chili pepper to balance off the taste....

JUSTICE FOR THE VIZCONDES

I am deeply saddened and couldnt help but be affected by the ruling of Supreme Court Acquitting Hubert Webb and Company... for the past decade I have been following this case religiously and my heart goes to Mr Lauro Vizconde , who tried his best to remain steady and calm throughout this ordeal. Loosing his loved ones in one night is something you'll never want to happen...but having the murderers be acquitted after a decade is like killing the man over and over again...

I honestly think money and connections played a big role in turning over the previous ruling of the lower courts. I just hope and pray these people who played a role in making this unjust decision will be able to sleep tonight and wake up in the morning and can still hold their heads up high.

Let me end this entry by saying a special prayer for Mr Vizconde, that although it seems he lost this fight, to me He will always be the Big Guy I'll look up to, fighting tooth and nail for justice to be served to his Loved ones.... No amount of millions or connections can top that !
