Our New "BABY"

Its true that when God closes a door, He opens a window.... and that's what happened to us after Benjie's work in 22nd (unfortunately, the saga over 22nd is not yet over and may take a while but we're not giving up.. we'll give them a tough fight they'll never forget)

While looking for other business opportunities, we stumbled upon a canteen space in the nearby BJMP Office which is a stone throw away from our apartment. Luckily, everything fell into place and before we knew it, we were preparing for a new chapter in our life... becoming a full time entrepreneur. When we first saw the space we were not thrilled and we knew there's a lot of work to do but after scrubbing, fixing the tables and adding my Mom's crossstitch pieces, we have somehow transformed the place into our very own Bite Factory Canteen. We're still in the process of putting things into order and waiting for the business to pick up ...and we know we're getting there.....

This is truly our new Baby because Benjie and I are spending more time and effort into this project but we know its worth it because at the end of the day, we know all the fruits of these endeavor will benefit the whole family especially our precious princess, Julia.

Another Quiet Sunday

Yup... i'm up and about around 9am this morning, excited to get up so i can have my cup of coffee and some treats before i can pour out my thoughts....

Its been a stressful week.... work was the same, tons of calls to be answered. what was sad about the past work week is its our last time to be together with my teammates under the helm of our dear TM .... starting tomorrow i'll be reporting to someone else. That's one of the sad realities of working in a call center industry. You are reshuffled from time to time just like chess pieces controlled by just one hand (in our case its the Operations Manager) and you have no choice but to follow. As they would put it, "trabaho lang, walang personalan"...... The good thing is our account is relatively a small group so no matter what team you get assigned to, i will always see my former teammates.

One thing you can't get away though is office politics. No matter where you go, you'll always have to deal with it. Its just sad that you are trying to work and others dont give as much but they get away with it and worse, get the credit. So one thing i've learned when i was promoted, just go with the flow and just show them what you've got because at the end of the end, that's all that matters. It doesnt matter if they're more senior, bottomline is people will see what you're really made of and that's want counts. No Office Politics can stop that....

Tomorrow is a start of a new week..... Honestly, its not something to look forward to but at least there's something to keep me busy, sane and grounded. And the best thing about going to work is the thought the day will end soon and you'll be heading home to be with the people you love.

GETTING THRU THE STORM

Two weeks ago Benjie got the worst treatment from his work. When he was about to finish his work for the day, the Manager's Assistant/Magnified Alalay Paul approached him and gave him a memo suspending him for 30 days ("preventive suspension" as they termed it) for "Malicious and Slanderous Text Messages" sent to his boss' husband informing him that his wife (who happens to be Benjie's boss for the last 8 years and a half) is having an extra marital affair. According to them, said messages came from Benjie's prepaid number that he was using. They confirmed this when a staff borrowed Benjie's phone to text their Big Boss. To make the story short, he was accused of something Benjie never did and will never do not even in his wildest dreams. He even reasoned out to the said Assistant that he is not stupid to send malicious messages and still use the said sim card.

When Benjie told me this the following day I literally blew my top especially when I saw him in tears..... yes, tears of pain and anger roll down his cheeks . Imagine after more than 8 years of working with them, this is what you get. For quite sometime now management of 22nd st has been treating theif staff badly. No overtime pays, no benefits and most often than not their paychecks are released late a day or two but never did Benjie complained and instead took everything in stride. But this accusation was the last straw to any decent employee could take.

We wasted no time and made phone calls looking for friends who can help us out. Luckily, a family friend (One of my brother's brad) gladly accepted the case and wasted no time in answering said memo, assuring us that we are in safe hands and that we will not give up a good battle since we are on the winning side, and two weeks into the said "case" it seems that things are going our way after we've confirmed with the cellphone company details and dates of activation of the prepaid sim he is using, we can now somehow breath a little. its still a long way to go but as our dear lawyer Rene would say... we will give them a good fight and make them pay back.

The best thing that happened during this stormy two weeks is we became closer and we started going to the adoration chapel... actually more than anyone, its Benjie who goes to the Adoration Chapel to pray (considering that he is not a catholic). He would deligently go to church every afternoon or evening to spend some time and pray. Julia and I would sometimes go with him to say a special prayer of thanks and request for strength that we may overcome this obstacle.

With Faith, hope, love and friends around us, we are getting thru this storm and we are looking forward to the day we will emerge as winners in this battle and eventually Benjie's name and reputation will be cleared and be vindicated.

Sundays.... Ohh Sundays

For the past few months i would wake up early and report to Work Sunday mornings. At first i hated it bec while everybody else sleeps late, i'm at the office with my headset, talking to aussies and all ..

But lo and behold, after a year and a half, i finally got promoted and got the weekends off. Now i get to enjoy staying up late Sat night, watching tv and chatting with friends over the internet. But most importantly, i get to enjoy the sunday mornings with my coffee, my 80's music and my laptop, updating my blog. This is " my time for myself".... time for me to write, recharge and relax. I dont mind if it means just for an hour or two because any minute now julia will wake up and will be all over me (happy to see that her mommy's home when she wakes up and this is something i enjoy as well during weekends). Sunday afternoon is another plus when we get to go out as a family, an activiity/event that Benjie and I would like to instill so that Julia would have a taste of a family day during weekends.

So no matter how toxic and hectic the work week is, i have my Sundays to look forward to ..

Our First Summer Outing

Last May 14 was a very special day for the whole family as we drove to malolos, bulacan for our first summer outing. we had a great time and it was really a treasure to see our little Julia enjoying the pool. Unfortunately, a few hours later she started to get cranky because it was time for her afternoon nap. There was nothing we can do except pack our bags and head home. That also explains why we only had a few pix to share
But all up it was worth the trip.... now we're looking forward and planning our next adventure and hopefully this time we'll get to spend the night over so we'll have more time, more pix and of course, more fun .

Hormonal Change

A lot of people are talking about it... that crazy time of the month where your hormones are doing all those crazy stuff that takes you to a roller coaster ride of emotions... At first i didnt take it seriously because i never had any problems in that area but ever since i gave birth things started to change. Not only do i experience cramps during the "time of the month" but now i have mood swings.

It could also be sign of old age when you start to worry about the littlest thing in the world. You're so tied up with all the problems you tend to forget to smile and how to have fun. As a result you suddenly feel the stress eating up your body , taking forms in different aches, pains and illness you never had before.

Moral of the story..... Have Faith and Have Fun.... Problems will come your way no matter what... but if you have Faith that everything will be okay and learn to have Fun and enjoy Life you have all you need to conquer and control that Hormonal Change Episode.

Barney ... Marney !!!

Yup, that's Julia's favorite name in the world right now... i dont know what it is with Barney, but it seems all the kids are addicted to this purple dinosaur.... she can watch barney the moment she wakes up till midnight over and over again. There was a time her yaya had to hide all the vcds so that we can watch regular programming. She is so into this BArney thing that we adults have memorized all the songs as well that I sometimes find myself humming the melody in the middle of my shift...

I know in a year or two she'll outgrow BArney.. but for the meantime i let her enjoy every minuet of it....

TimeZone

Last Tuesday we had a grand time in Timezone, Trinoma. This is a first for the whole family... First time we went to Trinoma and strolled around the area, and the first time to hang out in Timezone...

Again, more than anything , it was our little Princess Julia who enjoyed the gimik, she loved it so much we're planning to visit the place next week.

Seq 1: Interior.... Work Area/Study... Night

Yup... i'm back writing the familiar sluglines.... God is really good coz after almost four years i suddenly found myself in familiar territories, trying my hand in writing once again. I feel lucky because i am given another chance to do what i love to do most... Scriptwriting. And the people i'm working with are really nice bec they let me continue my regular job and do my writing on the side. I'm really excited with this new chapter/endeavor but at the same time i'm nervous because its been a long, long time. It feels like i'm the neophyte writer trying my luck. I hope and pray i still have what it takes to see my name on OBB and experience the same high when i see and hear my lines in the boob tube. So in the meantime, i'm signing off so i can start my treatment due this weekend......

DISCOVERY NIGHT

I had a wonderful 35th Birthday Celebration when Benjie, Julia and I stayed overnight in Discovery Suites courtesy of Sitel ( I won a raffle in one of the referral programs). Although it may seem a grand way to celebrate, the truth of the matter is, we had a very quiet evening and enjoyed every minute as we watch our little princess enjoy the new environment. She was literally and figuratively all over the place inspecting every corner..... too bad we didn't take too many pix .

Benjie enjoyed watching his little one so much he is now saving up money so we can have another night in the said hotel.

Julia's Second Bday

Last Friday was a special day for the whole family as we celebrate our Princess' Second Birthday. We were looking forward to this special day and had everything planned out weeks before, we were all set to see santa claus and experience snow but traffic ruined our nite we missed santa and the elves in eastwood, we ended up filling our hungry stomachs in something fishy and spent time taking pictures ...

although the night didn't turn out the way we originally planned out, we still had a great time...Nothing beats seeing our little princess running around the free space and shouting her lungs out .

all up it was a night of simple celebration... full of love and laughter for our little one.

HOLIDAY STRESS

Two weeks ago, i got a big scare from the doctor.... i went to see an EENT due to several mouth sores.... at first i thought it wasn't a big deal, i'm used to having mouth sores bec i used to wear braces however, this time i had 10 all over my mouth, so when i saw the doctor, he too was alarmed and gave me antibiotics and stuff... here's the thing, if in case after the medication, the sores haven't completely healed or if there's no development i would have to go through several tests to check what's wrong because according to him, mouth sores are sometimes symptoms that there's a major problem in my immune system... to make the story short, worse scenario could be a symptom of cancer of something as heavy as that.... you could just imagine how I felt when i heard those words from the doctor. The first thing that entered my mind was my little Julia.... right then and there i told myself i cant get sick bec i have a little girl who's waiting for me at home, a little princess who loves to be cuddled and tickled before going to sleep, a little girl who kisses you from time to time out of the blue.... who follows or should i say ran after you if she catches you leaving the house without her....

For almost a week, i was literally on my toes, hoping and praying that these said mouth sores are just caused by stressing over the holidays... I swear, now more than ever, i've learned to value my health... now i make it a point to sleep at least 5 or 6 hrs a day, drink vitamins and guess what i have decided to trade my hot cup of coffee to a cold glass of non-fat milk every night

Good thing the nouth sores are now gone... and that all these were caused by stressing over the holidays and the financial stuff.

One lesson I've learned is that i should take it easy and not worry too much abt the financial aspect of life bec at the end of the day, what really matters is that you're in good health and have time with the people you love.

And of course, not to stress too much over the holidays... because Holidays are meant to be enjoyed !!!!

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

I love Sunday afternoons when i have the house by myself bec everybody else is sleeping... hehehe... it gives me enough time to relax, surf the net and write. Lets just say that this is my time for myself.... if others find joy in spending hours in the parlor, i on the other savor the moments in front of my laptop with my coffee. this is what i call the simple joys in life. In an hour or two, my princess will be up and running again... that too is another source of joy for me but in the meantime, let me enjoy the sound of my keyboard under my fingers as i finish up this entry...

A Hospital Experience

Last week i was geared up for our first out of town trip which i have planned months before ( my vl was filed as early as june). Unfortunately, the night before we were to leave, my princess was down with fever and we had to cancel the trip. What seemed to be a harmless fever shoot up to 42 degrees the next day and we suddenly found ourselves in the emergency room of St Luke's Hospital. What was scheduled as a vacation turned out to be a couple of nights stay in the said expensive hospital (thank God for health cards) and all our baons were consumed in the hospital, making it look a picnic for the whole family. I will never forget the look on Julia's face when she was shaking/having chills due to high fever, and when the interns were were inserting the IV on her left hand, i was literally sobbing in tears. If only i could spare her from all the pain she went through that ordeal. And we were relieved when the lab tests showed negative for dengue, instead apparently she took something that made her tummy bad, thus explaining the acute gastrointiritis diagnosis. After almost 2 days, the fever was gone and she was almost back to normal, sorting through our baon and playing with the cellphone.

I know all families will have to go through this experience one way or the other, but i do hope this will be the last one for ours. Although i have to admit that made our family stronger, I wouldn't want to go through that ordeal ever again.

BUDGETING .... AN EXTRA CHALLENGE

i was never good with money.... maybe because i've always had just enough during my younger years that's why budgeting was never my cup of tea. But now that i have a family, budgeting our household have always been an extra challenge for me... well i can draft a budget that would seem realistic and fair but implementating the said budget is another story or should i say the greatest challenge. I admire people who are able to follow and implement their budget to a T !.... i'm hopind someday i can do the same.

The good thing about this budgeting is you always get to the do it every payday... so when you don't get it the first time, there's always the next payday to work on and hopefully after some hit and miss, i would finally get it right !

GREAT FRIENDS.....

We call this Our Family Picture because technically, all of us are more than friends ... we're a family. Over the years we've been through a lot.. heartaches, death in the family, pregnancies ... but through thick and thin, we've managed to overcome the problems and never fail to smile when we look back.
The past few weeks i've been through a series of ups and downs and if it weren't the support of these great friends, i really don't know how i'll survive. They've always been there to help me out... aside from the financial help, they never fail to uplift my spirit when i needed it most. When i'm tired and almost ready to give up i just turn to them and things get better.
Before i get all mushy and teary eyed , i know simple thank is not enough for everything... but for now, that's what i can afford....
I know i've been very blessed bec the Lord gave me Great friends....

WHAT A JOY !!!!

This is my little princess today.... she's such a source of joy and strength for me especially during times when you're down and out and dont know what to do..... just a warm embrace from my princess and a smile can really melt my heart. it makes you realize that you are still blessed despite of all the problems....

Sunday Morning

Its a typical sunday morning.... enjoying my rest day with a cup of coffee and honey dip doughnut... i was hoping to have a brunch somewhere to have a special time for myself but after doing a little grocery i found myself with just enough money for my fav doughnut. i know it could be sad and depressing but if you look at it at the bright side, at least i can have my coffee and doughnut in front of my laptop and scribble my thoughts ... somehow that makes my sunday morning perfect as i wait for julia to wake up .

i've always looked forward to having a special time for myself, something to keep me sane . The past few days i've been down and depressed bec of the usual financial problems but after speaking to some friends somehow things became lighter. true, i'm still overwhelmed with financial problems but as vanette would put it " pera lang yan.... at least you have someone who's helping you out. Mahirap yung wala ka ng pera, wala ka pang kakampi."

i'm looking forward to the day that i'll just smile as read this post of mine and know that i have overcome all the financial hurdles..... hopefully by that time, i'd still be sipping my coffee and munching my fav doughnut on my usual sunday morning... :)

YOU LOSE SOME... YOU WIN SOME

Yesterday was a "not sooo good day " for me at work.... a month ago, i applied for a Junior Trainer Position in my account, Virgin Blue, a position i've always set my eyes on the moment i joined the account, and the only position i'm interested in.... so after a gruesome exam of ms office application (the exam was almost 3 hours long) and a demo that was like a talent portion in a beauty pageant (bec the other 2 applicants did something outrageous ... one did a dance number and another a bartending exhibition) and almost a month of waiting, the cat is finally out of the bag.... it was the girl who did bartending exhibition who got the position, the more senior of all the applicants. I know i may sound bitter but one couldn't help but feel bad bec of office politics. Its true you wont get promoted unless you're close with the big bosses.... or at least trying to be close. Also, one couldnt help but concluded that bec she's more senior and a batchmate of the current trainer that really spells the difference right.

Well... since they've chosen a new trainer... time for me to move on and continue... i remember when i was trying to confirm the news with one of the Team Managers and couldn't get an answer, i half-joking told him " So what if they don't like me..... Magtatayo na lang ako ng sarili kong Training Group !" ... a remark that suddenly hit me on my way home. You see i've always putting my dream project "Training Workshop " on hold for the past few months. I remember that's the sole purpose why i purchased my laptop.... i've been asking for a sign if i should pursue this project because there was a time i felt i was going no where. I guess this is the sign i've been waiting for....

It's true i might have lost the Trainer position.... but i'm looking at it this way, its now a chance for me get back on track for my dream project so i can WIN SOME later on....

what do you think ???

LET'S GO DARING !!!!

This is the latest pic of my darling julia..... unlike Mommy, she can pose in her bikinis..... and mind you when she's in the mood, she can really pose!!!
Today, my little princess is 1 year and 6 months old. Often times benjie and i would just stare at her and wonder how fast she has grown and before we know it, our princess is no longer the little one who would run carelessly in the aisles of cherry fooderama.

Don't worry, pictures will definitely be posted so you won't miss out the great stuff.

New Babies

Nope, i'm not talking about biological babies... i'm happy with my julia and i have no plans of having another one in the near future. what i'm refering to are my new projects in my mind and i'm really excited about it. i hope these will push through. the first is dubbed GRAND UK DAY !!! UK for ukay-ukay because i'm organizing a garage sale to raise funds for julia's first bday bash. i'm asking family and friends if they have old stuff they wish to dispose so we can sell them and earn a few bucks. And since ukay-ukay is the "in" thing nowadays, i hope people will take advantage of this endeavor.

The second baby is a more complicated one... its a production workshop intended for highschool students. its still on the planning stage and i'm still looking for a partner/funds for this endeavor. Hopefully i can find one soon so i can start the ball rolling....

I know these are noteworthy projects and with favorable results if pushed through. i'm keeping my fingers crossed, who knows, this might be the start of something Big !!!

i'm back ...

yeah, i'm back after a month of silence, here i am again infront of the computer trying to kill time. we've been hanging out here sa work for almost two weeks now due to bad lines. for info, i've transferred to a new job, finally a day job so i can be with my little princess night time. i've adjusted to the new time sked, i'm in the office by 6:30 am... whereas before i am still up and about around that time.... and what i enjoy most with my new sked is i get to spend time with julia every night before we go to bed. we play, tickle, cuddle and bite (and my little princess can really bite !) till she gets tired and falls asleep. funny with our sked, julia gets to sleep with me and wakes up with benjie since im off to work by 5:30am. at least she gets the best of both worlds. Let me share some "bedroom pix" of my princess.... :)

keeping in touch ...

i was going through my blog and i couldn't believe its been four months since my last entry.... and my little princess, Julia just turned 8 months old last Aug 21 ... grabe, time flies so fast.... its been a long time...

actually, honestly at this very moment i'm quite lost with words.... there's so much things going on right now... lots of financial obligations to think about and so little time left... i wish i could win the lottery, just a few thousands would be a big help... believe me....

buti na lang i have julia... at the end of the day, i just cuddle up with her and somehow all my worries and problems fades away (well until the next day).... but still i have a lot of things to be thankful for... i have a healthy and beautiful daughter... i have a partner who holds my hand and assures me that eventually everything will be alright, and i have my blogsite.... at least i have something to pour out my thoughts......

so paano, see you soon !!!

thank you for calling jvc....

i barely have an hour to go before i log-off from work.. and i have to say i'm a bit sad coz today is my last day with my jvc account. for the past 7 months, i've been taking calls from jvc customers to help them out with their stuff... i have to admit that there are days when you just want to bang the phone especially when your callers start to call you names, and blame you for their stupidity... while there are days that you get lucky and encounter nice people at the other end of the line, from the other side of the globe... i'm sad because whether i admit it or not, i did had a fun working with jvc people.. i've met a few friends and learned a lot of things along the way. it would be weird going to work next week with a totally different set of people, saying a different opening/closing verbage but i know i'll adjust.

so for the last time... let me say ...

thank you for calling JVC and have a nice day !!!!

TGIF !!!

it's 8:32 am.... in an hour and a half, i'll be heading home. can't wait to be with my little princess. and can't wait to end my shift coz i have the weekend off. simply means i'll be spending 48 hours with my julia (and of course with my hubbie).

funny a couple of days ago i was complaining about going back to work. if there was only something i can do to stay home and be full time homemaker... now after five days, i'm looking forward to logging off from my computer .... i've survived my first week at work. if there's something i enjoyed about reporting for work, its seeing old friends whom i've lost contact with when i went on a maternity leave.... i also enjoyed browsing through the internet during lull times.. and g-talking with fellow agents in between calls... these made my shift tolerable..somehow...

i know when monday comes i'll be dragging myself back to work... i'll be complaining ... and will be praying to the high heavens that i'll get lucky and win the lottery so i don't have to work anymore... but monday is 48 hours away ... so in the meantime, let me count the minutes until i sign off... and shout to the top of my lungs.. "THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY !!!"

back to work

Feb 20 was a sad day for me.... (actually its feb 21st to be exact) because i had to report back to work with a heavy heart.... it was difficult for me to leave behind my little julia after being with her almost 24/7 for the past 2 months. i couldn't forget the look on her face when i had to leave her behind to earn a living. everyday is a struggle for me as i prepare for work, and every single day i would hope and pray that benjie and i will win the lottery so i don't have to report for work .....

but if you look at the brighter side, i should be thankful because i have work ... that simply means i am capable of earning to provide for my little one and pay all my bills. during these hard times, one should not complain but instead appreciate what you have. if you always dwell on the negative side, you'll end up having a miserable life.

it's 11 am... time for me to log out from work... i'm excited to go home to be with my hubbie and my little one... cant wait to be with them....

a different birthday gift

I turned another year older last Feb 4, 2006 ( i'm now 33 years old !)... ... and unlike my previous birthdays, my natal day last saturday passed by without frills or hint of happiness... aside from the Ultra Stampede tragedy (that killed 74 filipinos and injured almost 500), benjie and i don't have any reason to celebrate because benjie's workplace got burned down the day before. you could just imagine how sad and devastated we were when we went to 22nd St cafe/bar to check out the damage. The place was a total mess and it would definitely take months before the place would be fully operational. This would mean benjie could be displaced for a couple of months... something that really scared the hell out of us because with barely two months after giving birth via ceasarian, and nothing left in our savings, we are just starting to raise our little julia.... we suddenly found ourselves in tears as we hug each other tightly.

but situations like this has a way of bringing out the best in every individual... it keeps your feet on the ground and makes you appreciate the simple things in life... and this i believe is the special gift i have received from the Lord above for my 33rd birthday. yes, benjie and i are still problematic financially, we are still scared about the future, but this does not stop us from moving on with life, instead it gives us a reason to strive harder for our little julia and for each other. we are confident that one day we will bounce back with smiles on our faces, and overflowing love in our hearts .

my 33rd birthday passed by quietly and unnoticed but it sure gave me a different birthday gift, the best birthday gift ever... i have benjie and little julia in my arms to love and cherish forever

Julia's baby shower...

Last Saturday was a big day for our little Julia as we gather together her ninongs and ninangs for a night of food and fun.... it was basically a simple and quiet evening, enjoying the chika time as we munch on benjie's blockbuster laing and buco salad (yummi talaga)..... and yes, he prepared it himself ... we had to wake up early to prepare for the big event but everything was worth it as we saw the smiles and the thumbs up signs after the first bite. The only regret we have is people had to come and go becuase of their sked / work for the night. if only we could have more time together so that Julia's godparents would get to know each other better. These people are very dear to benjie and i, that's why we'ved handpicked them to be our Julia's second parents. We know that whatever happens, they will always be there for her, like they've always been there for us....

Again to Ninangs Agatha, Vanette, Bel, Ayi, Marue, Tina, Kakai and Ninongs Rex, Boyet, Nonoy, Tetay and Direk Jerome.... Thank you for making our baby shower special and memorable....

Growing Old

i just read my friend's journal a few minutes ago and something really struck me with her last line.... she said she didn't mind growing old because she found the perfect person to grow old with....

it got me thinking .... true growing old is something most of us are afraid to face and accept especially if you're all alone, but if you have someone beside you to hold your hand, then this growing old phase is something to look forward to. just imagine the anniversaries, christmases and other events you'll get to share with the person... and now that we're waiting for the arrival of our little julia, that gives me more reasons to be excited about our future. don't get me wrong, my life right now is far from perfect (especially if you think about all the "financial obligations/challenges/problems") but i'm happy and that's all that matters....

Baby Things .....

Benjie and I started to buy baby things for our dear julia and we had a great time looking at the small and cutie clothes... we just bought a handful, the basic things first since we have enough time to shop for the rest...

wala lang, just wanted to share the wonderful feeling and the excitement of waiting for the arrival of our little angel.

our little bundle of joy...

Benjie and I shared a wonderful experience last Monday..... it was his 28th (???) birthday and the highlight of the day was when we had our first ultrasound... for the first time we saw our little baby in my tummy.... you could imagine the happiness we felt when we saw our little girl..yup, IT'S A GIRL !!!! she looked so small and fragile. The proud daddy was smiling from ear to ear, and the smile remained long after we've left the clinic. i was deeply touched when he said this was the best birthday gift ever...

well, the countdown begins.... two months to go and we'll finally have Julia Samuelle in our arms..... :)

WEEK 02... THE WAITING

you know how it feels when you're waiting for something and you can't do anything except watch the time tick away as you wait for things to happen ????

i remember the first time i tried the pregnancy kit test... it was early morning, my mind was barely working as i wait for the results... and when i saw the two lines, i didn't know what to do. i knew somehow what to expect before hand but when it was right in front of you, you can't help but ask "if its really true". well, now six months later i couldn't help but smile as i recall that memorable morning. i know i still have three months of waiting before i could really hold my little angel, and here i am, waiting....waiting..waiting... (in excitement =) )

but before the big day arrives, i find myself waiting for my "other baby" to unfold ... MY EVENTS PROJECT. I've done my homework, did the project plan and forwarded it to friends for evaluation and waiting for response. everyday i would check my email hoping to hear something from them regarding this endeavor and sometimes this "waiting game" could really get to you. there are days that i am positive about things but things change when i don't get any response in my inbox. i guess this is part of the process my project has to go through, just like having a baby, this events project of mine must go through different stages so when i start to launch it, everything will be fine.... let's just put it this way, no one wants a premature baby, diba?

i just hope things will work out just fine for me, my little angel and my new project. i know with determination, hard work and prayers everything will fall into place.

PREPARATION 101

WEEK 1 Business Preparation ...

i have my "buy and sell" ads paper right beside me, list of possible suppliers, internet hooked up for couple of hours and i could feel the adranelin rush...... i've been like this for days now, trying to contact as many people as i can to help me out with my new project - the events business....... there are times i'd wake up earlier than usual and find myself thinking of how i can start this new project of mine. it's like a spell that i couldn't get out of my system. well i have to admit there are days that i get cold feet and ask myself if i can do it considering the fact that i don't have the finances to start this ..... but then i would bounce back to visualizing things, setting up meetings with clients, going to divisoria to buy the supplies, dressing up for the event and all that stuff.... things that would pump up my adrenalin level once again. I guess this is what you call gut feel. And like what they sometimes say, just follow your gut feel, you'll never know where it'll take you.....
